Imagine having the chance to ride or even show one of the most incredible horses, aka a unicorn, in the industry – a mare with a name that is synonymous with the picture of the ultimate western all around horse. Not only does she hail from royal lineage, VS Code Red and Snap Crackle Pop, two names that speak for themselves, but Snippity Snap has made her own history in recent years in Western Pleasure, Western Riding, Horsemanship, and Trail.
Snippity Snap, a full sibling to Snap It Send It, is the answer to western dreams, and now, she’s set to fulfill those wishes for youth exhibitor Rose Amala of Washington!
Formerly owned by Kent Ray Taylor, “Boo” or “Boo Boo” will remain under the guidance of Blake Weis to continue her winning ways, which have included AQHA World, NSBA World, and Congress Championships. Snippity Snap has excelled unbelievably in her career in Western Pleasure, Western Riding, Horsemanship, and Trail, and has dominated the winner’s circle with Taylor, Weis, and Aaron Moses.
Now, she’s set to wow the crowd with Rose, too, who says the first time she rode Boo, she “instantly fell in love with her sweet personality. I am so grateful for the chance to ride her. At the end of every day I feel like we are growing together,” she explains.
Kent Ray Taylor says it was a tough decision to make, but seeing Rose and Boo together took the cake. “I’m extremely excited about the pair. Rose and Boo look amazing together and I can’t wait to cheer them on! Boo is truly an amazing unicorn. I can’t tell you how special she is, and now she has an adorable young lady to help make all her horse dreams come true!”
For Rose, a champion in her own right who was ready to take her riding to the next level, Boo is a one-of-a-kind teacher and so much more. Rose exclaims, “I will be showing Boo in Horsemanship, Trail, Western Riding, and Western Pleasure. My plan is to have a lot of fun!”
The incredible opportunity that awaits Rose as the 2025 show season begins inspired her words of gratitude: “I want to thank Kent Ray Taylor and Blake Weis for giving me an incredible opportunity to work with them, with the KRT Show Horses team, and with Boo. A big shoutout to my mom, the best “show mom” there is, and to my dad and brother for their unwavering support. Even though they can’t always be there in person, I know they’re cheering me on from afar, streaming the shows and encouraging me every step of the way. I am also forever grateful to trainers Mike and May Edwards, as I would not have had these opportunities without them and their support.”
Rose, we can’t wait to see you with Boo! Congratulations to KRT Show Horses, the Amala family, and everyone involved in this magical partnership!
