“It became necessary to find a new home for the Congress,” says Congress Chair Casey West. “We were fortunate Tulsa’s Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex at Expo Square was available on our 2014 dates: Wednesday, July 30 through Sunday, August 3. The facility is definitely a plus and offers every amenity our exhibitors require: vendor space, ample stalls, warm up pens, and a great main show arena. As we go forward in this new direction, we’d like to thank the Missouri Paint Horse Club for their participation [over] the past three years.”

Given an overwhelming request for a decrease in the number of judges, the event will feature two 4-judge open PORs: a total of eight (8) judges. The 2014 Congress Committee is in the process of formulating the slate of classes and the format for this eight (8) judge event.

“Easing the number of judges over the same timeframe will allow us to incorporate some exciting changes and new class additions,” says KPHA Interim President Sheri Grinstead.”It’s definitely a ‘can’t miss’ event in 2014.”

Per Sponsor Chair Clea Bobbitt, “It’s great having The Equine Chronicle jump in again as a major sponsor. As details become available, you’ll see them on www.equinechronicle.com.”
