FORT WORTH, Texas – TCU equestrian head coach Haley Schoolfield announced the addition of Abbey Kliewer Wednesday morning.
The Oklahoma native brings with her a wealth of show experience to Fort Worth after being named a three-time Palomino World Champion. Kliewer, an NSBA World Champion, has competed at the prestigious AQHYA World Show the last six years in both Horsemanship and Reining, respectively. She is a two-time top-15 finisher at the World Show in both disciplines and has competed at the All-American Quarter Horse Congress every year since 2008, where she garnered several top-10 finishes in Western Pleasure, Horsemanship and Showmanship.
The former Congress Champion in Western Riding, who won the 2010 Year End High Point National Award for Limited Youth Western Pleasure, is a member of the Oklahoma Quarter Horse Association where she has earned the Year-End Award for Youth All-Around for five-straight years. Kliewer has also excelled in the classroom during her prep career as she is a member of the National Honor Society at Cordell High School.
