Last year’s Martinganza Quarter Horse Show and Futurity racked up a combined total of 5,500 entries (AQHA, NSBA, and Walk/Trot). The 2016 event at the end of this month is expected to be even larger, already showing an increase in stall reservations over last year with three weeks still left to go.
“Martinganza is once again shaping up to be a HUGE horse show,” says Martinganza Show Secretary Susan Daniels. “We have more stalls reserved this year than last year already, and we are three weeks away from show time! We are excited!”
All 456 stalls for Martinganza have been reserved, but don’t worry, there is a waiting list for temporary stalls, which will be located just inside the East building near the Dressage pad.
The 2016 Martinganza will take place March 31-April 3 in Williamston, NC. Judges will be Tanya Green, Pam Scott, Clint Fullerton, Chris Jeter, and Clay Macleod.
Once again this year, Halter and Showmanship classes will be shown on Saturday to all five judges. New this year, Random Trail will take place on Thursday and Sunday during set times. Also, an affordable flat fee is being offered. Move in day begins at noon on March 29th.
A Mardi Gras themed Martinganza Exhibitors’ Party will take place on Friday evening with good ole’ North Carolina BBQ, a DJ, and a mechanical bull or live entertainment!
