The 2015 Zoetis AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse and John Deere AQHA Cowboy Mounted Shooting World Championships kicked off the first day of competition March 17 in Houston. Classes began at 8 a.m. in the Reliant Arena, with ranch conformation, followed by ranch reining.
This year’s event runs March 17-20 in Houston as part of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The event is referred to as the 2015 Zoetis VRH and John Deere CMS world championships because the qualifying period was January 1 – December 31, 2015.

The Zoetis VRH and John Deere CMS worlds are events for American Quarter Horse owners and exhibitors from around the world, who must qualify by earning a predetermined number of points to compete. More than 550 entries from 27 states, as well as three Canadian provinces, are competing for six world championships and a purse of $82,000 in cash and awards at this year’s event.
