The United States Hunter Jumper Association Pre-Green Incentive Championship is offering special recognition and additional prize money to encourage the highest standard of breeding in the United States. Bonus prize money is available to American Quarter Horses competing August 11-13 in the USHJA Pre-Green Incentive Championship at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky.
The championship prize money topped $186,000 in 2014. Once again, 65 percent of annual enrollment fees and 50 percent of the entry fees make up the total prize money. To be part of the excitement, enroll your pre-green horse for the 2015 series.
Any horse enrolled in the Pre-Green Incentive Program that has competed in a minimum of two USHJA Pre-Green Stake classes at competitions between December 1, 2013, and August 5, 2015, is eligible for the 2015 USHJA Pre-Green Incentive Championship. In conjunction with the prize money that will already be up for grabs during the competition year, AQHA members Rick and Lori Bucholz of Waterloo, Nebraska, have generously added a $2,500 bonus for American Quarter Horses competing in the Pre-Green Championship. To earn the added bonus, the horse must be an American Quarter Horse and earn the combined top score from rounds 1 and 2.
“This is a great opportunity for exhibitors who are showing American Quarter Horses in the USHJA, and it shows once again how it pays to show and own the most versatile breed in the world,” said AQHA Chief Show Officer Pete Kyle.
To be considered for this award, the AQHA nomination form will need to be returned to the USHJA office prior to the championship. All entries intending to compete in the 2015 Pre-Green Incentive Championship must be entered no later than July 22.
