Update on the “The Pony Trainer” Addy Kenley

Many of our readers will remember a story we reported on back in January of 2016 that featured a then 8-year-old Addy Kenley, who’d earned the moniker, “The Pony Trainer,” for her ability to rehabilitate kill-pen ponies, retrain them, and give them new lives in the homes of loving children.

At the time, Addy’s goal was to help save as many kill-pen ponies as she could and raise enough money to buy her very own show horse. Well, all of her hard work paid off! Addy’s mother, Kristin, recently let us know that Addy did save up enough money to buy her very own show horse, Hay Lazy. The 7-year-old mare is by Lazy Loper and out of Hot Jackie, by Blazing Hot. Addy purchased her from Wes and Dana Wetherell.
