The United Equestrian Conference has announced its September Riders of the Month, honoring top performances in each of the four disciplines.
Equitation Over Fences Rider of the Month: Jessica Andronowitz, South Dakota State
· Went 3-0 on the month of September in Equitation Over Fences, averaging a score of 85.3 over the course of her three competitions.
· Earned a score of 90 in Equitation Over Fences to garner MVP honors and help her team to a win against then-No. 9 New Mexico State on Sept. 26.
· Each of her three victories came away from home against ranked opponents.
· Defeated her opponents by an average of 4.3 points.
Equitation On The Flat Rider of the Month: Randi Pomrehn, Fresno State
· Posted a 2-0-1 record in the month of September in Equitation On The Flat, averaging a score of 77.3.
· The impressive weekend came at the Willis Invitational in Waco, Texas, in her first three meets as a collegiate rider. All three competitions came away from home, including two against nationally ranked foes.
· Garnered two Equitation On The Flat MVP honors in her three competitions.
Horsemanship Rider of the Month: Katherine Ehrman, New Mexico State
· As a true freshman, posted a win and earned an MVP honor in her first collegiate competition – her only Horsemanship ride in the month of September.
· Posted a score of 75.5 in her only competition for a win against her opponent from South Dakota State.
Reining Rider of the Month: Taylor Brown, Fresno State
· Posted a perfect 3-0 record in Reining for the month of September with one MVP honor.
· Averaged a score of 68.7 and defeated her opponents by an average of 1.8 points.
· Helped her team to a 2-1 record at the Willis Invitational, including wins against SMU and UT-Martin.
· All three rides came away from home, including two against nationally ranked opponents.
· Garnered Fresno State’s only point in reining against SMU, which proved the difference-maker in the 7-6 victory.
