Under the Lights at the 2014 NQHL Big A Huntfield Derby

Competitors at the Stars N Stripes and Big A were treated to a true Olympic experience during the National Quarter Horse League’s Big A Huntfield Derbies that took place last week in Conyers, GA. Spectators gathered around the Olympic arena to watch some of the countries best over fence riders compete in a high stakes contest for cash payouts, Huntfield prizes, and bragging rights. Taking place in conjunction with the event was a fun Exhibitor’s Party on the Hill.

All of the Derbies saw great participation this year with 19 entries in the Big A Low Huntfield Derby, seven entries in the Big A Non-Pro Derby, and 14 entries in the Big A Open Derby.

The winner of the Big A Low Huntfield Derby Open division was Mary Helen Herman with Chagull. The second place team was Cynthia Frank-Robbins with Take To It Naturally. Third place was Paula Pray with Hot Blazing Dancer.

The winner of the Big A Low Huntfield Derby Non-Pro division was Mary Helen Herman with Chagull. Second place was Savannah Petrus with PS First Honor. Third place was Alison Harlow with Gramercy Park.

The champion of the Big A Non-Pro Derby was Billie Henard with Twothousand Model Te. Second place was Hannah Elizabeth Bedwell with Regal To A Te. Bedwell also took third place with Doyou Have TheMagic.

The champion of the Big A Open Derby was Billie Henard with Twothousand Model Te. Second place was David Miller with Rules Change. Third place was Hannah Elizabeth Bedwell with Regal To A Te.
