The proverb that has stood the test of time that “two are better than one” may truly be prophetic for Tyler Haney and Robert Stucky, who just formally announced the inception of Two Fox Farm LLC in Ocala, Florida.
As of September 1, 2023, the duo will be opening training business doors together at their farm that’s located just five minutes from World Equestrian Center Ocala.
One of their main goals will be to build the hunter/over fence side of AQHA, and not only are they in the perfect locale to do so, but their backgrounds have armed them to develop this division on the cusp of flourishing.
Tyler, who has been fortunate to work for Prince Farm for five years, has added to his expertise to build the foundation for this new program throughout his time there. “In that time I’ve gained so much knowledge, exposure, and experience. Without the opportunities they gave me, I wouldn’t be where I am,” he explains.
Combined with Robert’s background, Tyler says they’re developing a great program that’s also unique. “Robert has ridden show jumpers at the Grand Prix level as well as showing performance hunters to top placings at prestigious events such as the Devon Horse Show. I have a background in hunters and all around horses,” he explains, and they’ve found that merging the two worlds together has really helped their horses and our clients.
Robert, upon discovering stock-bred horses when the two got together, now loves how great minded and trainable they are, “which makes them great amateur horses,” Tyler explains. “Hopefully we can also bring more youth into the discipline and program – we really want to keep it alive and we want to continue to develop young hunters and drivers.”
Their location in Ocala will be ideal so they can also offer a few sale horses at a time as well as a few USEF horses to compete on both AQHA and Hunter circuits.
“We are so excited to be close to venues like WEC,” says Tyler. “We would like to extend a huge thank you to Anne and Chester Prince and Sandra Vaughn. Without their support for the last five years, we couldn’t have done what we have. We have been fortunate enough to train numerous AQHA World, Congress, NSBA, and Paint World Champions in the Hunters, Driving, Hunter Under Saddle, and Trail.”
Both Tyler and Robert truly thank all their clients who have entrusted them with their business. “Without all of them, this wouldn’t be possible,” says Tyler. “We’d also like to thank our sponsors, Butet and Equine Healthcare International.”
