This evening, the Tom Powers Christmas Challenge was host to several Super Sires classes that awarded big checks to the winners.
The Equine Chronicle Super Sires 3-Year-Old Non-Pro Limited Western Pleasure
First place receives a check for $10,000. They also receive a trophy by Cowboy Bronze, the Rowdy Silver championship buckle, NSBA trophy, Nutrena feed coupons, a pair of Rod Patrick boots, and a Super Sires Champion sheet and halter. The winner was Sweet Southern Susie (It’s a Southern Thing x Pine Ventures), owned by Greg Wheat and shown by Steve Wheat.
Reserve Champion receives a check for $3,210, a reserve champion pendant, Nutrena feed coupons, and a Super Sires halter. The winner was It’s a Certain Thing (It’s a Southern Thing x Zippos Certain Time), owned by Matthew and Melissa Burton and shown by Melissa Burton. Third place received $2,140 and a Super Sires halter. Third was A Potential Mechanic (Mechanic x Potential Diamond) owned and shown by Marcia Kurcz.
Super Sires 2-Year-Old Open Western Pleasure
First place receives a check for $5,000. They also receive a trophy by Cowboy Bronze, the Rowdy Silver championship buckle, NSBA trophy, Nutrena feed coupons, and a Super Sires Champion sheet and halter. The winner was KM You Make It Easy (The Lopin Machine x KM Suddenly So Easy), owned by Debbie K Martin and shown by Karen Hornick.

Fourth place receives $640 and a Super Sires halter. Fourth was The Solitaire Affair (The Rock x Presidential Affair), owned by Mallory Vroegh and shown by Shannon Vroegh. Fifth place receives $320 and a Super Sires halter. Fifth was Extremelygoodinvite (Extremely Hot Chips x Invite Me Good Bar), owned by Kimberly Hoffner and shown by David Wagner.
