Whether your palette prefers golden fried appetizers, old-fashioned burgers and fries, a hearty breakfast platter, melt-in-your-mouth desserts, or just fancy a satisfying drink from the full-service bar, Three Sisters Tavern can fill your heart’s desire with anything on their expansive Colorado cuisine menu.
The Three Sisters Tavern is more than your average Western décor steakhouse. When cowboys, cowgirls, and horse show competitors walk through the heavy wooden doors, they are transferred into a bona fide western-themed establishment. Filled with pictures of real-life equestrians, horse show memorabilia, and even a few AQHA World Championship globes near the bar, the Grill and Tavern’s authentic connection to the horse show industry is as unique and satisfying as their famous bread pudding.
The Tavern and Grill are owned and operated by three sisters, Jamie DeVencenty, Paula Williams, and Darla Watson. There’s one sister, whose name might sound familiar, at least to the horse show community. Jamie DeVencenty is a well-known AQHA all-around exhibitor, as well as her daughter, Natalia DeVencenty.
Jamie, a native of the Colorado City area, grew up alongside her sisters on a ranch and was raised watching rodeos, bull riding, raising a few head of cattle, and learning to cook and sew. In her 20s, Jamie pursued riding horses in the Colorado circuits where jumpers held strong popularity. So, when it was time for Jamie’s daughter to begin experiencing a hobby at a young age, horses seemed like a good fit.
