The third annual Texas Paint Horse Club “Power of Pink” Show is scheduled to take place this weekend, March 1-2, in Waco, TX. The four judge Paint-O-Rama will be judged by Garth Gooding, Sonnesa Gooding, Kelly Boles Chapman, and Dave Parlier.
Competition begins bright and early Saturday morning at 8 am with the silent auction taking place from 2-4 pm. Saturday evening, competitors will be treated to an Exhibitors’ Fajita Dinner at 5:30 pm. A live auction will also be held on Saturday immediately following the Gambler’s Choice Trail in the main arena. Gambler’s Choice Trail is a fun class that’s limited to the first 15 entries. It will be held after the completion of the Amateur Walk-Trot Trail. The entry fee is $100, and there is 50% payback.
Live auction items will include Tina Price Custom Artwork, a Clay Gant Sculpture from Cowboy Bronze, a saddle rack, six day getaway in the Texas Hill Country, four Texas Ranger tickets with parking pass, Australian female puppy, breeding to Paint stallion John Simon, set of four tires and wheels, handmade ribbon quilt, and a special edition power of pink hat can.
On Sunday, the popular bra decorating contest and auction will return along with a hotdog lunch prepared by the Extraco Events Center. Proceeds from the live, silent, and bra auctions will go to the Careity Foundation, a Texas based charity that offers free cancer screenings and treatment to texas women.
“We are so proud and excited to host the Power of Pink for the third year,” Show Manager Renee Robinson says. “We are looking forward to having great charity, great competition, and wonderful friendship. We are hoping for an excellent turnout at this event.”
