A certain level of trust is needed in order to place not only your beloved horses, but also your business interests, in the hands of someone else.

Sometimes that assurance comes from an observation of how people deal with clients and treat the horses in their care. But more often than not, the most successful partnerships are developed over time as the result of a shared vision and philosophy.

That’s how Headley Quarter Horses and Pait Show Horses came to join forces. Their relationship isn’t necessarily a new one. Jeffrey and Bronwyn Pait have kept horses in training for the Headleys before, but now they’re taking the relationship to the next level by assuming management of the family’s elite stallion lineup.

“We trust them implicitly,” Kathy Headley says. “Over the years we’ve known Jeffrey, his horses have always looked good, and he has long-term clients that are happy and contented.”

But it’s about more than quality results and happy clients. With their reputation for responsible breeding, the Headley family has a personal investment in the long-term care of the horses they help create.

“When a horse is good to us, we feel a responsibility to be good to them or move them down the road safely to a new home,” Kathy says. “Jeffrey and Bronwyn have very much the same philosophy. They love their horses like we love ours. It just feels right, like it’s a good match.”
