The Tennessee Stock Horse Association proudly presents The Legacy “Showdown of the Future” a Youth Only Horse Show. Set against the scenic backdrop of Kentucky home of Lakeside Arena, this event, scheduled for September 27-29, 2024, is poised to redefine the standards of youth equestrian competitions.
Picture this: diverse collegiate recruiting, adrenaline-pumping ranch events, and innovative draw format riding competitions converge to create the ultimate stage for equestrian excellence. “The Legacy” isn’t just an event; it’s a convergence of dreams to fulfill the need of education, competition and opportunity for youth nationwide. It is an experience that demands your presence.
But wait, there’s more! “The Legacy” is thrilled to present the Youth Ranch Team Challenge, an avenue for youth to connect, cultivate a sense of fellowship, and engage in spirited yet healthy competition. And if that’s not enough, the icing on the cake awaits on the last day with the Youth Equestrian Development Association show, providing a dazzling stage for those riders who may not own their own horse. Thanks to the Try It program all youth in attendance have the opportunity to showcase their skills in the arena on unfamiliar horses. It is the ultimate catch ride experience.
Collegiate Recruiting Opportunities:
“The Legacy” transcends traditional horse shows by providing a unique platform for young riders to catch the eye of collegiate equestrian programs. Representatives from top universities will be present, offering participants the chance to showcase their skills and forge connections that could shape their future in the equestrian world.
Youth-Only Clinics:
Committed to nurturing the talent of young riders, “The Legacy” offers exclusive clinics led by seasoned professionals. Day 1 at “The Legacy” will be full of riding clinics, demonstrations, and hands-on learning from collegiate coaches from all over the country. These clinics provide invaluable learning experiences, allowing participants to refine their techniques, expand their horizons, and gain insights from industry experts.
Stock Horse Events:
From boxing to ranch riding, “The Legacy” features a range of the industry’s fastest growing ranch events that put riders’ skills to the test. Offering classes in multiple age divisions and riding levels rider’s are able to showcase their versatile horsemanship talents in a variety of classes.
Draw Format Riding:
Breaking away from traditional competition formats, “The Legacy” introduces an innovative draw format riding competition hosted by the Youth Equestrian Development Association. Designed to level the playing field and emphasize adaptability and versatility, this format highlights the rider’s skills on unfamiliar horses, giving each competitor an equal chance to succeed.
