Dogs just seem to make everything better. But our beloved dogs aren’t just our best friends; they are sometimes our source of entertainment, too. Whether they want food, attention, or are just a little mischievous, our dogs find ways to make us laugh and amuse us.

With horse people as owners, it’s also no surprise our dogs spend a lot of time at horse shows. But sometimes dogs and horse shows can be a recipe for some slightly embarrassing moments for their owners.

Katie Grossnickle’s dog, Indie, proved that dogs can be a bit mischievous at shows when her owner briefly stepped away from what she thought was a safely secured dog.

“Last year, at the World show in November, I locked Indie in a stall so I could run up to the arena and grab something. Next thing I know, my phone is ringing, I’m getting texts from several people and Facebook messages saying Indie got out of the stall and is running around frantically looking for me,” Grossnickle admits. “She doesn’t really like people and is terrified of men, so no one can catch her and she won’t allow anyone close to her. I went running back to stall calling for her and she ran up to me scared, but also happy to see me! The stall was still locked, so she had to have climbed the hay that was stacked in the stall, then jumped into the stall behind her that was open!”
