The Dorsey family has purchased World and Congress Champion Lazyboy from Sam and Jolene Mierzejewski.
“William” will be showing with Kennedy Dorsey in the 14-18 all around events under the guidance of Brian and Darla Lee of Lee Quarter Horses.
“We are so excited about the chemistry that Kennedy and William have together!” explains Darla Lee. “We are so grateful to Jolene, Judd Paul, and Jennifer Paul for being willing to part with such a special horse. William has a great show record and has such a strong foundation, and we are thrilled for the future.”
The 2014 gelding, bred by Looney Quarter Horses, is by Lazy Loper and out of McKays Elegant Chip. William has a long list of Congress and NSBA Championships, as well AQHA High Points and AQHA titles such as AQHA High Point Green Horse and AQHA High Point Junior Trail Horse.
Kennedy Dorsey says when the family decided to retire Cool Krymsun Zip, she knew it would be hard to find another horse she loved as much as she has loved him. “I knew I needed to be patient and let the right horse find me,” she shares. “I’m so grateful that Brian, Darla, Judd, and Jen thought of William for me. I know it was hard for Joleen to part with him, but I will be forever grateful in their generosity in letting him move on to be a youth horse.”
She also says she’s excited to to let William pick up where Splash left off in teaching her to be a better horsewoman. She adds, “I’m also excited to add some new classes as well as continue in my favorite class, horsemanship. I also want to thank my parents, Alex and Karmon, for supporting my love for horse showing.”
Congratulations to the Dorsey Family!
