Super Sires Stallion Service Sale

Super Sires will again be offering a stallion service sale to each of the Super Sire stallions at HALF PRICE (plus $100 administration fee.)  The 2020 services will go on sale starting October 1, 2019. You can find the details and fees for each stallion at www.supersires.org.

Congress Classes & Late Entry Options

Super Sires has been ironing out the details for the upcoming inaugural Super Sires classes taking place during the 2019 All American Quarter Horse Congress. We have some big money to give away and are looking forward to some super competition!

If you are riding or showing a Super Sires eligible foal, don’t miss out on the opportunity to take home part of the cash and prizes being given away. Super Sires will be accepting LATE ENTRIES at their booth in Congress Hall until 3:00pm the day before each of the classes (see below.) Entry Fee is $250 plus an additional $100 late fee.

For those who aren’t aware of the class offerings, they are as follows:

• Open 2-Year-Old Western Pleasure – $5,000 to 1st place! – Brought to you by Nite Moves. To be held in conjunction with the Coughlin 2-Year-Old Maiden Open Western Pleasure Futurity
• Non-Pro Open 4 & 5-Year-Old Trail – $5,000 to 1st place! – Brought to you by EnviroEquine. To be held in conjunction with the Congress 4 & 5-Year-Old Non Pro Trail Stakes
• Non-Pro Open Hunter Under Saddle Longe-Line – $5,000 to 1st place! – Brought to you by EnviroEquine. To be held in conjunction with the Congress Non Pro Hunter Yearling Longe Line Stakes

This year’s Congress Champions will receive a buckle designed by Rowdy Silver as well as a trophy created by Cowboy Bronze. We’ll have other prizes for exhibitors provided by our sponsors.

New Benefits to Super Sire Stallion Owners

The Super Sires Executive Committee held their annual meeting during the 2019 NSBA World last month and one of the things they discussed were ways to give back to the stallion owners who support this amazing program. As the purses grow with the number of stallions and with support from our loyal sponsors, starting in 2020, Super Sires stallion owners will receive 10% of the prize purses that their foals earn in Super Sires classes.

The purse for foals born in 2020 is already over $100,000 and has room to grow as new stallions are added and grandfather previous foal crops into the Super Sires program. Another bonus starting in 2020 will be a $5,000 prize to the Super Sire of the Year! (Determined by offspring points earned in Super Sires classes.)

Super Sires is accepting applications for new stallions in both the Western Pleasure and the Hunter Under Saddle programs. For those stallions who have crops on the ground, Super Sires offers a grandfathering option to make foals eligible from previous breeding/foaling years. Super Sires is an organization created by horsemen for horsemen. The Executive Committee has been working hard to expand, offering more opportunities to horsemen and women.
