Strong Prices Posted in December Internet Auction

“The December INTERNET Auction closed 2021 with very positive results. Interest was high with over 500 registered bidders and more than 200,000 page views on the Internet auction website. Prices were strong with the top five horses selling for an average price of $17,700.00,” says Mike Jennings of Professional Horse Services, LLC. “The high selling horse at $25,000 was Lot 301 – Sheza Wicked Machine, a double registered AQHA and APHA mare that was the 2021 NSBA World Show BCF Reserve Champion 3-Year-old Color Western Pleasure.”

The top ten sellers brought an average price of $14,910 and the top twenty-five horses averaged $10,002.  The overall sale average price was $6,221.82. Eighty-one percent of the horses and ponies offered sold to new owners with gross actual sales of $342,200.00.

“A major feature of the auction was the Mississippi State University Production Sale,” adds Jennings. “All of the horses, the group of yearling and 2-year-old prospects sold to new owners for an average sale price of $6,178.  The high seller at $12,500 was Lot 104, MSU Smooth Pepto, a 2020 gelding by Peptorey.  The offering included horses sired by VS Code Blue, Certainly A Vision, Allocate Your Assets, Living Large and Good Better Best.”

The two PONIES offered in the auction sold well.  Selling for $16,200 was Lot 203 – Sonny, a 13 hand, bay and white gelding and at $11,600 – Lot 205 – LDG Okie Freckles (AQHA / NQPA) a 13.3 hand mare.  Both ponies were in the top ten high sellers.

Other high sellers included: $18,500 – Lot 214 – Gun Matrix (AQHA) mare by “Gunner” selling bred to Lil Joe Cash; $15,000 – Lot 322 – Doin Something Right (AQHA) mare by Open For Suggestion; $13,800 – Lot 419 – Bucks Cruisin Secret (AQHA) Halter gelding by Kids Telasecret; $12,800 – Strawmanssam MMR (ApHC) gelding by Zips Strawsam MMR; $12,500 – Lot 302 – Mama Always Said (AQHA) stallion by RL Best Of Sudden; $11,200 – Lot 304 – The Jewel of Rock (AQHA) mare by The Rock.
