The eight-day Mid-Summer Fling and IKI Summer Spectacular kicks off today in DuQuoin, IL. and will continue through June 23rd. The event will provide nine complete shows for AQHA competitors; with a new schedule this year, exhibitors will have the opportunity to show in three triple-judged split/combined events.
The judges’ pool for the show is Brad Jewett, Judd Paul, Jill Newcomb, Tom Robertson, David Denniston, Brad Luebben, Dean Bogart, Glenn Wells, and Clark Scoggin.
$13,000 in added money will be available in futurity classes including the following:
The main futurity event is the $5,000 Green Trail Futurity that will be run concurrently with Wednesday’s AQHA class. The entry fee is $350 upon arrival at the show. $2,500 will be awarded to both the winner of the Junior Green division and Senior Green division. Payouts will go six places deep in each division, as long as there is a minimum of five entries per class. Also, competitors must enter the corresponding AQHA class.
There are some spectacular prizes up for grabs at the show including hand tooled leather briefcase for Reserve Highpoint, RCA Portable DVD player with 9″ swivel screen, RCA 11.6″ Maven Pro Tablet with detachable keyboard, water coolers, logo sunglasses and sandals, Hitachi 39″ LED screen TV, AR wireless bluetooth speaker, stall fans, muck bucket with pitchfork, party cooler on wheels, Bose SoundSport in-ear headphones, Bose Soundlink Min Bluetooth speaker, and an HP computer.
