Sincere Condolences Following the Passing of Joe Parrish

Joe-Parrish-1493207258 copyMost of you know Joe Parrish as the always smiling face greeting patrons at Kendall’s Hat booth at horse shows around the country. But what you might not know is that Joe was a veteran of the United States Army and a 30-year firefighter for the City of Thomasville, GA. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and active in his church family.

We would like to extend our sincerest condolences to the Parrish family following the passing of Joe, who was laid to rest April 25th, 2017 at the age of 67.

He is survived by his wife Jane, brother Greg, nephew Bret Parrish, nephew Brook Parrish, son Cole Parrish, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many other loving family members.

We received the following note from Candy Parrish: “Joe Parrish of Pavo, GA. passed away April 25th after a battle with cancer. Fondly known as ‘Uncle Joe’ to most, he was the uncle of Bret Parrish and Brook Parrish and brother of the late Kiff Parrish. Joe routinely traveled to the horse shows and assisted Brook of Kendall’s Hats. He enjoyed getting to know people all across the US and Canada. Joe had a personality that people adored, and he always looked forward to visiting and catching up with everyone at the shows. Joe will be greatly missed by so many. He was loved, and he loved his family and friends. Joe is survived by his wife Jane, son Cole Parrish, daughter-in-law Heather, grandson Kiff and granddaughter Kinley, and younger brother Greg Parrish.”

Services for Joe will be held tomorrow, Friday, April 28th, at Salem Baptist Church at 2 pm. The family will receive friends this evening, Thursday, 27th, at 5-7 pm at Allen and Allen Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center in Thomasvillle, GA, the Pavo Baptist Church in Pavo, GA, or the New Jerusalem Church in Moultrie, GA.
