Silver Dollar Circuit Blog #3: New Teams!

Top of the morning! It’s Cori and Emma here from the Silver Dollar Circuit in Las Vegas, NV.

We have noticed at the Silver Dollar Circuit that there are many new teams in the show pen. One in particular is Maureen Jackson with Hot Chips A Blaze. This show marks their first ever as a team. Maureen and her daughter, Kyla, showed the 12-year-old gelding in  Western Riding and Trail events under the guidance of Nancy Renfro.

Maureen placed in the Top 10 in the Level 1 Amateur Select Trail out of 35 exhibitors and in the Top 10 in the Level 1 Amateur Select Western Riding out of 14 exhibitors in her first ever loping classes! It was so fun to watch Maureen’s excitement and watch their success in the show pen together their first time out!

Her daughter, Kyla Jackson, won the Youth 13 & under Western Riding and picked up her first youth points with “Blaze” as well as the circuit champion title in the event! Kyla and Hot Chips A Blaze also placed in the Top 5 in Novice Youth Trail! We loved watching this new team compete together. It was so fun to watch a mom and daughter duo helping each other out and seeing the smiles that “Blaze” brought them.
