AQHA Publicity
If you’re nominating your halter horse to the amateur or open divisions at the 2018 Lucas Oil AQHA World Championship Show, your second nomination payment is due July 31, 2018. The nomination program is a pilot program for the 2018 AQHA world championship shows*.
Amateur and open exhibitors planning to show their halter horses at the 2018 Lucas Oil World, still have three ways to qualify their halter horses:
The first nomination payment ($1,000 for amateur; $2,500 for open) was due December 31, 2017, and the deadline for the second nomination payment ($2,000 for amateur; $2,500 for open) is July 31, 2018. Payment 3 for the 2018 Lucas Oil World Show ($2,000 for amateur; $2,500 for open) is due September 15, 2018.
If the first nomination payment was not received by December 31, 2017, then the amount due for Payment 2 is Payment 1, plus a late fee ($1,500 for amateur; $3,500 for open), in addition to the second nomination payment. If the first two nomination payments are not received by July 31, 2018, then both are due along with a $2,000 late fee and the third nomination payment ($2,000 for amateur; $2,500 for open) by September 15, 2018.
The nomination payments will be added to a horse’s respective class purse, and all entries in that class at the 2018 Lucas Oil World will be eligible to receive the full purse, regardless of the qualifying method.
Nomination forms and payments can be made online or by mail; both forms can be found under Competitor Resources at www.aqha.com/worldshow.
Halter Nomination Program
The program is patterned off of a futurity payment structure, and the cost of the nominations is dependent upon division. The total amateur payment is $5,000, if all payments are made on time. The total payment is $7,500 for horses nominated to the open division, if all payments are made on time.
Please contact Lori Peterson at 806-378-4344 if you have questions or would like to nominate your halter horse over the phone.
