The Lucky Spur Ranch in Justin, Texas, was the site of a stunning ceremony fit for any equestrienne’s dream on Saturday, September 16th, when our friends, Lauren Love and Joel Stein, were wed in holy matrimony. Back in December of 2016, Lauren and Joel became engaged shortly after Lauren won her first AQHA World Championship title in Amateur Horsemanship aboard Wearin Only Moonlite.
Eager to incorporate her love of horses and her extended horse family into every aspect of her wedding, Lauren was joined by fellow competitors, family, and friends, including her longtime horse trainers of 12 years, Robin and Jenny Frid. “It was such a fun weekend,” Lauren says. “So many of our friends and family are from out of town, so it was really nice to get to spend time with everyone for a couple of days.”
Equally rustic and romantic, the Lucky Spur Ranch is located on 56 acres just outside of the DFW metroplex and encompasses ponds, creeks, and rolling hills. A reception barn, outdoor pavilion, luxury cabins, full saloon, bridal suite, and courtyard provided intimate settings for every part of the event.
In charge of blending the Western with a whimsical touch, Lisa Stiles of Coco Fleur Events provided beautiful flower arrangements and decor. Lauren was especially pleased with the small touches like personalized deer horn antlers, photo cards at the place settings, and flowers arrangements in large, vintage horse show trophy cups. “Lisa did all of my flowers and decorations, and she absolutely knocked it out of the park! Everything was so beautiful, and her attention to detail is just impeccable.” At the rehearsal dinner the evening before, guests were seated at oversized farm tables that were adorned with cacti in modern glass containers and birds’ nest chargers.
Capturing the event on film was Mallory Beinborn of Impulse Photography. “She did such an amazing job, as usual! She sent me a few sneak peeks already, and I can’t wait until I get to see the rest! Devin Territo flew in to do makeup for me and all my bridesmaids, and she was so awesome. She’s done my makeup for me at a couple of shows before, and I’ve always loved her style. She definitely didn’t disappoint!
“We really couldn’t have asked for our wedding to go any better. We’re so blessed to have such supportive friends and family in our lives; they made our whole weekend such a fun time!”
Congratulations to Lauren and Joel! Best wishes for a long and blessed life together.
