The difference between Show and Showmanship.
Between going through the motions and owning the arena.
Between entering a competition and emerging as a champion.

As the trainers of 55 World and Reserve World Champions and 70 Congress and Reserve Congress Champions, Robin and Jenny Frid have perfected the art of coaching all-around competitors to reach the pinnacle of competition. What do you get when you combine a their passion for coaching and nearly two decades of industry knowledge? A proven, customized program with attention to detail.
This led the couple to create a new Showmanship video series in order to share their knowledge with youth, amateurs, and professionals of all breeds.
“The series has six different sections addressing topics ranging from starting your beginner horse, to interpreting top level patterns for competition. The final portion of the video addresses troubleshooting common problems that arise with both horse and handler at all stages of their training,” says Frid Show Horses.
“Just wanted to say I downloaded the videos last night, and they are brilliant. Very informative but also extremely clear. I was getting confused trying to teach my yearling to set up (it’s over 15 years ago since I taught my older horse, and he was just very good and got it straight away). I’ve just been out in the driving rain moving her left hind backwards and forwards! Thank you. I’ve only watched the first video so far (again and again) but the video and Jenny have motivated me to have a goal to show her in Showmanship as a two-year-old once I get sorted. Thank you!

The first section of the video, The Basics, addresses how to start your green horse in this discipline and is broken down into two parts. This video will explain the step-by-step process of how to teach a horse to give into pressure; walk, trot, and stop in a straight line; as well as foot control, while introducing the set up. It is currently available online at www.RobinFrid.com.
Section 2 is in progress and is expected to be released in February of 2018. There are several more sections to come.
Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to learn from industry leaders whose methods have proven successful in show arenas all over North America, Europe, New Zealand, and Australia.
