The sun showed up in full force for the 2016 Fun In The Sun Extravaganza January 12-13 in Venice, Florida. With cash and prize payouts estimated at $50,000, many competitors were thrilled to ride out of the gate with check in hand!
Judging the event were Jeff Allen, Wayne Holt, and Carly Veldman Parks.
Winning the NSBA Maturity $10,000 Limited Horse Western Pleasure was Jay Starnes with Hot Boy Gone Lazy for owner Cathrin Gutmann. The pair earned $5,760. Winning a 15-entry Green Trail was Jason Gilliam with Caught Me Looking for Kaleena and Josh Weakly. The pair earned $320. Winning the 29-entry Senior Trail was Blake Weis with Snap Krackle Pop for Twylla Brown earning $250. Winning the 25-entry Non Pro Trail was Katie Grossnickle with Always The Best Man earning $260.
