Results and Photos From 2015 Sun & Surf Circuit
A beautiful weekend for a horse show!

Although there was a bit of rain and mud to contend with at the start of the 2015 Sun & Surf Circuit, that didn’t stop competitors from having a blast in Del Mar, California. When the sun did make an appearance over the weekend, competition was stiff with large class sizes in many different disciplines.
The largest entry totals for the show included
- Youth Hunt Seat Equitation- 15
- Amateur Western Horsemanship Level 1- 16
- Western Riding Level 1 -18
- Select Horsemanship- 18
- Junior Trail- 18
- Youth Showmanship- 20
- Youth Horsemanship- 22
- Amateur Level 1 Trail- 26
- Select Trail- 31
- Senior Trail -60
On Thursday/Friday, in Amateur Horsemanship, the top teams were Kelsey Jung with Lofty Loper, Maria Salazar with Winkin For Chocolate, and Miranda Mitten with Sudden Persuasion. The same three horse and rider combinations dominated the standings on Sat/Sunday with the addition of Brittany Morgan with Huntin For Fun.
On Thursday/Friday, in Select Horsemanship, sisters Kathy Tobin with RA Undisputed and Susie Johns with Heza Radical Zip scored top spots followed by Dan Yeager with Cee Money. On Saturday/Sunday, Susie Johns and Dan Yeager stayed at the top and and were joined by Wendy Katz Broderson with One Hot Royalty, Kim Portney with Lopin Down the Lane, and Jean Swiss with A Blazing Reflection.
On Thursday/Friday, the top three in Select Showmanship included Linda Coakley with Patsys Royal Secret, Wendy Broderson with One Hot Royalty, and Marian Naumann with Smokin Em Over. On Saturday/Sunday, Linda Coakley stayed at the top and was joined by Dan Yeager with Cee Money, Stacy Muzljakovich with A Breeze of Pleasure, and Christine Hocutt-Senteney with Bellieve He’s Blazing. 
At the top of the Senior Trail standings on Thursday/Friday were Christopher Holbin with Zip Past The Jag, Jill Newcomb with Absolute Best Asset, and David Busick with Rolex in Paris. On Saturday/Sunday, Melissa Zanetti with Traveling Abroad and Jim Searles with Lopin For A Chex took top spots.
