It’s time again for American Quarter Horse owners to renew or purchase their annual AQHA Incentive Fund competition licenses, which expire December 31, 2014. Owners receive money for points earned in 2015 when they complete a competition license for each Incentive Fund-nominated horse before the horse competes.

One hundred percent of competition license fees collected are added to the Incentive Fund to increase point values, 100 percent of which is paid back to owners. The license fees are a low $50 per division (open/amateur) per horse. The fee can be paid any time during the year and become effective when it’s received by AQHA or by show management. Points earned prior to paying the annual license fee are not Incentive Fund-eligible.

“People love showing their American Quarter Horses, and getting paid at the end of the show season is a great reward,” said AQHA Executive Director of Shows and Judges Pete Kyle.

For the 2013 show season, the Incentive Fund paid nearly $2.2 million, making it one of the most lucrative showing programs in the industry. And in 2013, the point value paid back to license holders was $19.62, a number bolstered by the competition license fees.

Take time to complete the 2015 Incentive Fund license form and mail it back to the address provided or call AQHA Customer Service at 806-376-4811 to purchase, renew and pay by phone.
