Ranch Riding World Cup Class Debuting at Americana 2017 in Germany
AMERICANA 2017 – Big Show for Ranch Riding: World Cup Ranch Riding will be part of the evening show for the first time
Augsburg –AMERICANA (Augsburg, Germany, September 6 – 10, 2017) will be setting a new milestone in Western riding again. Ranch Riding, which was an AMERICANA class for the first time in 2015, will not only have a big purse again, but will also get a special place in the World Cup classes in 2017. Ranch Riding will consist of a go round plus a final – the latter being part of the Friday evening show with thousands of people watching. This is the best platform this relatively young discipline could wish for.
“We are happy to present Ranch Riding in front of such a huge audience,” says AMERICANA Show manager Sandra Quade. “It is such a wonderful discipline which reflects AMERICANA’s philosophy beautifully: fine Horsemanship which shows its origin, a working discipline out of the cowboy’s everyday life asking for finesse and a well broke horse – regardless of which breed and pedigree. This is simply the art of Western riding in working outfit.”
Ranch Riding, which was called Ranch Pleasure before, was introduced as an AQHA discipline only a few years ago, and it is booming! In the U.S., Ranch Riding classes are among those with most of the competitors. The judge is looking for perfect, smooth transitions. It is a discipline for anyone who loves well broke western horses – regardless of the breed and specialization. In contrast to many other disciplines, the horse should have no show equipment, but a working saddle plus breast collar and back cinch. The less silver the better. The rider should wear clean, good looking working outfit.
$150,000-added AMERICANA –Ambassador of Western Sports and Horses
With this, AMERICANA once more becomes an ambassador of western riding disciplines. For many years, this event, known as Europe’s premier western event, has been offering the perfect platform for our great sport with about 50,000 visitors. Besides the Ranch Riding World Cup, there will be one of the top Reining Bronze trophies and the World Cup Trail as well as the NCHA USA approved and Master Cutting classes. Another focus of AMERICANA is the ERCHA / NRCHA European Reined Cow Horse Futurity with the ERCHA Nations Team Cup.
“How to?” AMERICANA-Forum offers expert advice in all disciplines
AMERICANA is the perfect place if you are looking for advice on how to train your horse in a special discipline or how to solve a medical or other problem in keeping horses. In the well-known AMERICANA Forum, renowned trainers share their knowledge in Reining, Trail, Ranch Riding or Horsemanship and are happy to answer individual questions as well. The various breeds are presented as well as how to start a young horse or how to choose the right saddle. Among the horsemen who have announced they’re coming already are Peter Kreinberg with his “The Gentle Touch” as well as Hacienda Buena Suerte represented by Kenzi Dysli and L&B Ranch.

It’s the combination of fine sports and the biggest Western fair in Europe that makes AMERICANA unique. The fair offers a vast variety of Western outfit, equipment, horse feed, barn, and facility technique. Also, the big Western horse and riding associations will be there. Starting in October, exhibitors will find their order sets for download on www.americana.de in October. Also, the online ticket sale for the evening shows can be booked here. They make excellent Christmas presents! In 2015, the Friday and Saturday evening shows were completely booked, so visitors should order their tickets pretty soon.
