For Michele McLaughlin, her trainer, Nicole Giumenti, “has elevated my horses and me. She shows up every day with the best interest of the horse and rider. She has committed herself fully to the sport while doing whatever it takes financially.” Michele says that Nicole loves her clients. “She wants you to be your best. She’s always available, always teaching, and always encouraging.”
A favorite All American Quarter Horse Congress memory of Michele’s is her very first Congress. She didn’t know what to expect, but Nicole Giumenti gave her the confidence to compete at a top-level. Michele and her 2-year-old, King James, placed in the Top Five in the 2 Year Old Futurity classes. “It was incredible,” Michele said. “This Congress will always hold a special place in my heart. The following year we had to put King James down. I’m thankful today for all the memories of the greatest horse I’ve ever owned.”
