Qualifying Points Announced For Versatility Ranch Horse World Show

The qualifying points have been announced for the 2015 Zoetis AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse World Championships, which will be held in 2016.

New this year, exhibitors have the chance to qualify for individual classes at the Zoetis VRH World. Exhibitors can now qualify in the six individual classes of ranch trail, ranch reining, ranch cow work, ranch riding, ranch cutting and ranch conformation. To be considered for the all-around award in each division, however, you must compete in a minimum of three categories – meaning at least one cattle class (ranch cow work or ranch cutting), as well as conformation, plus at least one of the additional classes (ranch riding, ranch trail or ranch reining. Also new this year, exhibitors can qualify in youth, cowboy, open, plus amateur divisions.

View the qualifying points on the Competitor Resources page at www.aqha.com/versatility. Exhibitors can also qualify by participating in three or more AQHA-approved versatility ranch horse events.

“We are excited to give more competitors the opportunity to qualify in individual classes at the 2015 Zoetis VRH World,” said Pete Kyle, AQHA chief show officer. “This will allow more exhibitors the chance to be crowned an AQHA champion.”

About Versatility Ranch Horse 
On January 1, several rule changes were made to AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse. The rule changes aim to make VRH an easier event for new exhibitors to get started in, giving them the option to enter any number of the six VRH classes: ranch riding, ranch trail, ranch reining, ranch conformation, ranch cutting and ranch cow work. Previously, exhibitors were required to enter all six classes.
