Calling all Paint cutters! If you’re thinking about attending the 2016 APHA World Championship Show, qualifying for APHA’s premier event is now easier than ever, thanks to our partnership with the National Cutting Horse Association and the American Cutting Horse Association. We’ve teamed up to offer 18 cutting events that count toward qualifying for the APHA Open & Amateur World Show, which takes place November 2–12 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Qualifying for the World Show is based on horse participation only, and cutting horses only have to compete in two approved events with no minimum number of judges, which makes it simple and stress-free. For multi-talented horses that compete in other events, full show qualification requires participation in at least four approved events and showing to a minimum of eight judges. For more details about qualification, head over to oawcs.apha.com/qualifiers.
The qualification period for the 2016 APHA World Championship Show is August 1, 2015, to July 31, 2016; no qualification is required for the AjPHA Youth World Championship Show, which takes place June 27– July 9.
All APHA-approved shows count toward qualification requirements for the World Show, but we’ve partnered with NCHA and ACHA to provide a one-two punch of competition and World Show qualification at the following events:
Reiners also can qualifying for the 2016 APHA World Show through select events approved by the National Reining Horse Association.
Unless otherwise noted on the APHA Show Calendar, these shows only count toward APHA World Show qualification, not APHA points. Each event counts as one show toward qualification requirements. For the complete scoop about the APHA World Show and how to get qualified, visit oawcs.apha.com.
