Welcome to BreyerFest, Chocolate Chip Kisses!
Also known as “Choco,” this colorful Pinto pony and his youth rider/owner, Lauren Demchuk, have earned 28 Pinto World Championship titles together, in both the Western and English show rings! Regardless of Choco’s pony size, he competes against regular horses much bigger than himself.
Beyond their successes, this competitive pair has continued to inspire people of all ages and backgrounds! Just a few months before the Pinto World Championship Horse Show, Lauren was diagnosed with epithelioid sarcoma, a rare cancer. Despite the life-changing news, Lauren and Choco continued to train, focusing on Lauren’s goal of attending the World Show.
In addition to the Pinto World Championships, Choco and Lauren’s titles continue with nine PtHA Reserve World Championships, two PtHA World High Point 18 & Under Pony titles, PtHA World High Point 18 & Under English title, PtHA World High Point 18 & Under Western title, 4th in the nation for Junior Youth High Point, and a multitude of regional and local wins.
In 2014, Lauren earned her Pinto Youth Legion of Merit Award, thanks to Choco, and their trainer, Karen Clark. Karen was named Pinto Horsewoman of the Year and was inducted into the Pinto Hall of Fame.
Lauren and Choco remain side by side, now on the road to recovery.
Our Chocolate Chip Kisses model is on the Stock Horse Stallion mold, sculpted by Chris Hess. Choco is a dark bay tobiano with an irregular blaze, a snip, and black mane and tail.
Don’t forget to stop by and say hi to Lauren and Choco at BreyerFest!
