PtHA Wrangler Exhibitor of the Month is Nancy Reid

The Wrangler Exhibitor of the Month for August is Nancy Reid of Lapeer, Michigan. Reid is a Senior Amateur exhibitor who has been showing for one year now, but she has been riding for two years. Reid was hooked immediately when she competed in her first show, which was a small open class.

“I started taking lessons with Jamie Sharp Performance Horses for the purpose of trail riding, and it didn’t take me long to become hooked to the horse show world,” Reid said. “Jamie Sharp has a great group of people; it’s like having a second family, your horse show family.”

Reid is showing a stock type gelding. Her show mount is Designed to B Cool, also known as Kipp, an 18-year-old sorrel overo. Together they compete at the Michigan State Pinto Breeders and Owners shows in Senior Amateur Showmanship, Western Pleasure, and Horsemanship classes.

“I love everything about showing,” Reid said. “I enjoy being at the horse show, working hard to always improve, and being a team with my horse.”
