Where do you live? Black Falls, Wisconsin
What is your Pinto’s name? I’m Axle Rose, aka “Axle.”
How long have you been showing? Lucy has been showing for 10 years now.
What do you like most about showing your Pinto? “The versatility and welcoming atmosphere of all exhibitors from different breeds.” Lucy says.
What is your favorite class to compete in? Why? Lucy says her favorite classes to compete in are English Equitation and Horsemanship. “Pattern classes are my favorite because it not only shows the horse’s ability but also the riders. I also like how challenging patterns can become and all the different levels of difficulty added,” Lucy said.
What is the funniest thing your Pinto has done? “Two years ago, at the Color Breed Congress, Axle had a double stall, so I hung a hammock in his stall, and he laid his head over me and we took naps,” Lucy said.
What is your favorite activity or sport outside of showing Pintos? Lucy’s favorite activity outside of showing horses is volunteering at her local animal shelter that she has been going to since she was about seven years old.
What do you want to be when you get older? “I’d like to be a veterinarian so I can continue my love and passion for animals. throughout my career,” Lucy said.
