The Wrangler Exhibitor of the Month is Tiffany Pattison from Norwich, Ohio. Pattison has been showing for 30 years. When asked if she could recall her first show experience, Pattison explains. “Of course I do! It was a local open show at our county fairgrounds, and I was petrified. I was twelve yers old and so nervous that I thought I was going to be sick, so I showed in Halter and Showmanship and we went home. About three shows later, I had enough confidence to ride and fell off during the warm up. That was embarrassing. Needless to say, I stuck with Halter and Showmanship for the remainder of the year and got third place at the county fair in my Showmanship class. I had a three-year-old, green broke horse and we were learning together.”

When asked what her horse is like, Pattison explains, “She’s an old soul in a young body. The first time we took ‘Snickers’ to a show last year, I kept saying, ‘I can’t believe she’s three. She acts like a been-there-done-that show horse.’ She’s one of the toughest horses I’ve ever owned, both mentally and physically.”

Pattison can be found competing in Florida and Ohio Pinto and Paint shows along with the Pinto World and Paint World. “This year, we plan to do the same with the addition of the APHA Eastern National Championship,” Pattison says. The dynamic duo show in Performance Mares, Showmanship, and Western Pleasure. “I’ve been practicing Trail and Horsemanship, so we will see what 2019 brings!” Pattison says.

When asked what she enjoys most about showing, Pattison says, “It’s fun to show a horse who enjoys what she does and listens to my cues. It’s been long time since I’ve challenged myself to do pattern classes. With her, I know she’s going to do what I ask, so I don’t have to worry about that component. I just have to focus on me getting my part right. She reminds me so much of a horse I had when I was a youth, who had an incredibly successful show career. I’m excited to see what our future is!”

Every month, PtHA will randomly select an exhibitor to be featured on their website and on the official Pinto Facebook page. Wrangler, a PtHA Corporate Sponsor, will be hosting the “Wrangler Exhibitor of the Month” contest and will be giving a coupon for a free pair of Wrangler jeans to the winner! Check back next month to see who will take home the prize!
