The Banixx Pinto Horse of the Month for August is KR Gunz N Roses, owned by Melissa Lalli from Ludlow, Massachusetts. KR Gunz N Roses, better known as Axl Rose, is a stock type mare. Lalli says Axl Rose’s personality is aloof, but she is sweet and willing for her.

Lalli acquired Axl Rose as a 9-month-old and started to break her out as a two-year-old. Now, as a seven-year-old, Axl Rose showcases her skills in the arena throughout New England, specifically within the New England Pinto Horse Association.

Lalli has been riding horses for over 30 years. She said that Axl’s favorite class to compete in is Hunter Under Saddle and they are currently 7th in the nation.

Every month PtHA will randomly select a solid registry Pinto and a color registry Pinto for for the Banixx Horse of the Month to be featured in the monthly PtHA e-blast and on the official Facebook page. Banixx, one of PtHA’s corporate sponsors, will be hosting the “Pinto of the Month” contest and giving a prize to the winner! Check back next month to see who will take home the prize!
