Last night’s St. Patrick’s Day Exhibitors’ Party at the 2016 Silver Dollar Circuit crowned a few winners, but they weren’t in classes you’d typically expect to be held at a horse show… From 4:0o-6:00 pm, competitors and spectators gathered at the Vendor Mall by the Main Area to snack on appetizers, enjoy drinks, and take advantage of discounts and giveaways. The first 100 people who showed up received a FREE drink!
Generous vendors offered numerous prizes and giveaways including:
For the first time ever, Barbara’s Custom Hats hosted a Hat Toss for the chance to win a new, custom straw hat. A large crowd participated, but those with the surest throw who landed their cowboy hats closest to the cone were Emily Maul and Linda Gluckman. Click here to watch the Hat Toss.
In what has become a very popular event at the Silver Dollar Circuit, Wood’s Western hosted their annual Chaps Race. Seven competitors gathered at the starting line before spinning eight times and racing to find their chaps in a pile. The first person to completely zip up their chaps was AQHA horse trainer Leslie Lange, who celebrated with a victory dance in the middle of the vendor mall. For her superior spinning and zipping skills, Leslie won a new pair of custom chaps from Wood’s Western! Click here to watch the Chaps Race.
Also, throughout the day, competitors were urged to keep an eye on the Silver Dollar Circuit official Facebook page for the chance to win great prizes. Lauren Anderson and Maria Salazar were the lucky recipients of a pair of Kimes Ranch Jeans for their speedy, social media skills. They were the first people to show the Kimes Ranch Jeans giveaway post to someone at the awards desk in order to win. Keep an eye on the Silver Dollar Circuit FB page for more giveaways throughout the weekend…
