1/19 UPDATE- We have received some INCREDIBLE news from a close friend of Andrea. She is aware of her surroundings and is making great strides by being able to do some simple every day tasks. Please keep the prayers coming.
Our thoughts and prayers are with a member of our The Equine Chronicle family, Andrea Kengis-Foss. According to social media updates posted by her family, Andrea collapsed yesterday during a workout and was life-flighted to the hospital, where it was discovered that she was suffering from bleeding in her brain. Apparently, she has since been through surgery, and the family is hopeful she will be taken off life support soon to recover.
We first met Andrea as a youth competitor and followed her career after she took a 15 year absence and made a triumphant return to the winner’s circle on both AQHA and APHA circuits. She’s known by her fellow competitors as a hard-working and dedicated equestrian who’s always humble and gracious.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Andrea’s family, especially her beautiful children and husband.
