Colorful Pintos of all shapes and sizes have converged on Tulsa, Oklahoma for what has been described by competitors as the most fun World Show of the year! The 2018 Pinto World Show kicked off June 11th and will continue through June 23rd, ending just in time for APHA exhibitors to make the trip to Fort Worth, TX for the APHA Youth World Show that begins at the end of the month.
Judging the 2018 PWC are Bruce Army, Chris Bickford, Kathryn Boggetta, Jason Contreras, Sandra Curl, Patrick Derrick, Dee Dee Douglas, Mary Ann Fielitz, Jodi Finkenbinder, Lori Gordon, Karen Homer-Brown, Deb Jarvis, Jan Larsen, Don McDuffee, Richard Petty, Sid Hutchcraft, James Simpson, Gene Stewart, John Tabb, Daren Wright, and Karen Winn.
Prior to the competition, the fifth annual PWC Youth Judging Contest took place on June 10th. Thirteen teams competed. Dade Delozier of Adair won the junior division and Hannah Tweed of Chouteau FFA won the senior division.
Another fun new event for both exhibitors and spectators is the PW Challenge. Pick up a checklist at Pinto Place to find out the challenges you must complete to earn points. The first person to earn 200 points will be deemed the Official Promoter of the the Pinto World Show and will receive a $100 gift certificate to corporate sponsor, Tioga Territory. Checklists may be turned in as soon as the 200 point total has been reached, but must be turned in by the morning of June 22nd.
