The APHA Zone 1 Regional Paint Horse Championship has just concluded in Nampa, Idaho and show management has reported an entry increase of 11% over last year’s event.

In addition to a full schedule of regular Paint Horse class, there was a special show just for CHAMPS riders. CHAMPS is a program offered by APHA for challenged riders that allows equestrians with disabilities the opportunity to compete in a horse show atmosphere against their peers of similar skill levels. Click here to read more about the classes at the show.

Other fun additions to the show included a giant coloring station for kids, wheelbarrow races, and the Notes of Kindness and Compassion Campaign. During the evening, two concerts playing in the nearby amphitheater provided a soundtrack for the show with the sounds of Wiz Khalifa, French Montana, and DJ Drama, as well as Travis Tritt and The Charlie Daniels Band.
