Our Sincerest Condolences Following the Passing of Show Manager Dave Higgins

UPDATE: Dave Higgins’s funeral will take place today, April 27th at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. A visitation took place on Sunday from 4-7 pm and the funeral will take place at 1835 Cumberland Road in Farmville, VA this afternoon at 2 pm. Everyone here at The Equine Chronicle would like to extend our sincerest condolences to the family of Dave Higgins following his unfortunate passing today. For those who attended the 2015 Virginia Quarter Horse Classic last week, you will remember seeing Dave’s smiling face around the show pen and at the entry gate.
Sadly, Dave passed away due to complications from a car accident that he sustained on his way home from the horse show.
Our prayers go out to Dave’s family during this extremely difficult time. He will be missed.
