The first time you meet your heart horse, you know it. The crossing of paths with the horse you’ve seen in your dreams happens once in a lifetime if you’re lucky–twice is something out of this world. Yet, for Lisa and Bob Thomaier, the stars have aligned at the same time.
They have not one but two 3-year-old mares getting ready to make their Western Pleasure debut this year, Cool Like This and Cool Like Thaat, both raised by Bret and Candy Parrish, the Thomaier’s trainers of over 20 years. “Both horses were raised here on the farm as a result of the breeding program we’ve developed over the years,” says Bret Parrish.
Bret will be debuting Cool Like This at the Virginia Maiden in March 2023. “Mable” is by Machine Made and out of a daughter of the great producer, Talk To Me Vicky.
Then Cool Like Thaat aka “Scarlett” will make her first appearance with Bret at The Madness in May. The three-year-old mare is by Machine Made and out of Two-Time Congress Champion KM Hot Number, a daughter of RL Best of Sudden. Her pedigree alone is cause for excitement as she is a full sister to Nothin But Nett and Air Ryde.
