Since it was founded 2011 by Blair and Susan Roberts and Hillary Timchak, Capital Quarter Horses has established itself as a premier program business focused on breeding, raising, and showing world class western pleasure horses.

Their philosophy of looking forward to the next generation to create modern, marketable crosses with foundational influence has resulted in horses like The Cooki Monster, Hillary’s current show mare by Machine Made.

Hillary says “Cher,” is her absolute favorite mare since she showed Whatscookngoodlookin because the two mares are closely related. The dam of Whatscookngoodlookin, A Cooki For Certain, also happens to be the dam of Cher. “As ‘Candi’ is by A Good Machine, both sides of Cher’s papers make her a close sister. We were able to purchase an embryo out of A Cooki For Certain from owner Russ Louderback through close friend Joan Schroeder,” Hillary says. “We are thankful to own one of the–if not the last–foals out of this great producing mare.”

The Cooki Monster has quickly garnered a hefty show record for herself, with titles such as Congress Champion Green Western Pleasure with Andy, and NSBA World Champion 3-Year-Old Non-Pro Western Pleasure with Hillary. Most recently, she was also named 2022 Congress Champion in the Maturity Non-Pro Western Pleasure Stakes and unanimous Amateur Western Pleasure Congress Champion, both with Hillary. Hillary reveals, “I am really excited to show at the Fall majors on one of my all-time favorite horses. With her pedigree, movement, and self-carriage, I think she has the potential to be famous one day, and we are honored to be part of her story!”
