NSBA Boot Camps On Tap For June and July in Illinois and Colorado

NSBA will be hosting two Boot Camps this year, one in Gifford, Illinois, June 20-22 and the other in Loveland, Colorado, July 11-12. Clinicians on tap for the June Boot Camp are Charlie Cole, Nancy Sue Ryan, Chris Thompson, Cindy Young, Ryan Cottingim, Bill Kaven and Sue Ellen Kaven. Clinicians for the July Boot Camp will be Holly Hover, GiGi Bailey, and Sandy Jirkovsky. The July clinic will be held at the Larimer Country Fairgrounds, The Ranch, and will be followed by a NSBA/AQHA/APHA/ApHC horse show.

Provided in the Boot Camp fee is a stall, breakfast, and lunch each day, and clinician instruction. Family members in attendance may purchase meal bands. Auditors will also receive meals with registration. Clinic participants may bring a second horse for an additional fee.

Each day will begin with a brief discussion and introduction from the clinicians. Following the clinic, there will be a question and answer period and time to discuss topics such as scholarship opportunities for IEA/IHSA.

Disciplines will include Trail, Showmanship, Horsemanship, and Equitation. Topics of discussion will include an introduction to lead changes, Western and English rail performance, how judges use score sheets, and much more.
