Sequins, fringe, and bell bottoms oh my! Night one of the National Finals Rodeo did not disappoint! The rodeo fashionistas were out in full force. New trends like sequined skirts paired with blazers were everywhere you looked. A classic trend is making a comeback in a big way: bell bottoms! Whether they’re in a jean or velvet material, this is the hot new/old trend of the 2017 NFR! For women needing to add the perfect finishing touch to their outfit: a squash blossom necklace completes the look.
And, of course, who could forget the excitement of the rodeo? Everyone was on the edge of their seat while waiting to see if someone was going to break the four-way tie for first in the Steer Wrestling. The man who finally did it was Tyler Waguespack! The $6 million dollar cowboy himself, Trevor Brazile, brought his A-game, but he came in second to Ryan Jarret in the Tie Down Roping, while 4-time consecutive World Champion Bull Rider Sage Kimzey might have been out of the money, but still rode his full 8 seconds. Winning round one of the Bull Riding was Trey Benton III!
Night one might be in the books, but who knows how it will all end up? As for us Keller women, our hair stayed curled, our fringe and sequins are still intact, and we’re headed out to try our luck on the strip! Viva Las Vegas!
