New Addition to Mark Harrell Horse Show Calendar is 2016 Sun and Surf Circuit

A new addition to the Mark Harrell Horse Shows calendar in 2016 is the Sun and Surf Circuit, which will be held May 19-22 at the beautiful Del Mar Horsepark in California.
The 2016 Sun and Surf will host six AQHA shows over four days with judges to include Scott Neuman, Kelly Chapman, Brad Kearns, Sissy Anderson, Pierre Briere, and Steve Meadows.
For this event there will be NO-PRE ENTRY and NO-LATE FEES. Just reserve a stall by May 1st for $175 or after May 1st for $200 and enter upon arrival at the show office.
This year, $6,500 has been added to NSBA classes including the following:
- $1,000 3 and 4-Year-Old Open Hunter Under Saddle
- $500 3 and 4-Year-Old Non Pro Hunter Under Saddle
- $1,000 3-Year-Old Open Western Pleasure
- $500 3-Year-Old Limited Open Western Pleasure
- $1,500 3 and 4-Year-Old Trail Futurity
- $1,500 Non Pro Trail Classic
Each NSBA class will be all-breed and will have four judges. 60% of the entry fee will be placed back in the jackpot and the judges’ low score will be dropped in order to determine final placings.
The show will kick off on Thursday in The Equine Chronicle Arena with Hunter Under Saddle, Equitation, Western Pleasure, and Horsemanship. The same schedule will repeat on Saturday. Over in the Wood’s Western Arena, Trail will take place. On Friday and Sunday, The Equine Chronicle Arena will host Halter, Showmanship, Pleasure Driving, Western Riding, and Ranch Riding. Additional Trail classes will take place in the Wood’s Western Arena on Friday and Sunday as well.
High Point awards will be presented in Novice Youth, Youth, Novice Amateur, Amateur, Select, Green Horse, Junior Horse, and Senior Horse divisions. Champion and Reserve Champion Circuit awards will be offered in each performance class and in performance halter classes.
