According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, a New Orleans-based hotel developer has planned a $52 million, 250-room hotel that will be located on University Drive within walking distance to the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
Apparently, this will serve as the primary hotel for the new 14,000-seat arena to be built at the Equestrian Center. Good news for equestrian events that take place annually at the Center (like the AjPHA Youth World Show, Appaloosa Youth World Show, APHA World Championship Show, Appaloosa Nationals, Appaloosa World Show, and NCHA Futurities) the developer will be required to enter into room block agreements for events at the show grounds for ten years!
To give a better idea on the proposed location for the six story building, the Dos Gringos restaurant currently occupies part of the property where the developer intends to put the hotel.
