Name of Horse (Barn & Show Name): “Mick” / Ain’t Dun Yet
Discipline: Both Hunt Seat and Western
Mick is a 20 year-old Appaloosa on loan from Sandra L. Tucker, owner of Sandtree Stables out of Camden, Delaware.
Highlighted Accomplishments:
“Mick” has been part the DSU equestrian team from the beginning. The team started in Fall 2006, and he has competed in every home meet since in at least one event. “Mick” is our “go to ride.” He literally can do all four events, and we have used him in all four.
In November 2017, DSU hosted UGA and “Mick” was in the draw for the Flat and Horsemanship. His rider won their point in both events and was MOP for the horsemanship.
“Mick” has been an asset to our team in so many ways over the years; from carrying the American Flag, participating in Homecoming Parades, camp horse for non-experienced riders, best bareback ride and so much more.
At DSU, we pride ourselves on integrity and good sportsmanship, and Mick follows right in line with that. He has never refused a jump, or offered a bad ride to any rider.
Mick still holds the highest score at home for the flat of a 95 with alumni Caroline Foltz in 2012.
