WACO, Texas – The National Collegiate Equestrian Association on Tuesday announced the latest Farnam Team Rankings for collegiate equestrian, as determined by the NCEA Selection Committee.
The No. 1 Auburn Tigers stay put as they dominated last week with an 18-2 victory over an SEC opponent.
The Georgia Bulldogs hold onto the preseason No. 2 spot as they compete for the first time this week, traveling to SEC rival South Carolina.
No. 3 Texas A&M defeated Oklahoma State to stay put in this week’s rankings. The Baylor Bears make a jump up to No. 4 following a 3-0 weekend and clenching the Willis Invitational title. No. 5 goes to SMU, No. 6 to TCU and No. 7 to Oklahoma State.
Delaware State went 3-1 last week against ranked opponents, moving up to No. 8 in this week’s poll. Rounding out the top 10 are No. 9 Fresno State and No. 10 South Dakota State.
NCEA action starts back up again this Friday, October 5, as the No. 3 Aggies are on the road to face No. 6 Horned Frogs and the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs head to South Carolina for an SEC show-down. Sweet Briar College continues the weekend on October 7 when the team travels to Delaware to face Converse College and No. 8 Delaware State.
